In this research-based, practical presentation we will focus on how mindset, emotional intelligence, and everyday behaviors directly impact performance, relationships, resilience, and overall well-being. Grounded in Positive Psychology and the widely recognized PERMA model, the session blends credible research, real-world workplace examples, and actionable tools leaders can apply immediately. After nearly three decades with SVMIC, Thad DeHart has become known for two things: a steady character in the world of medical professional liability and an unshakable belief that attitude shapes everything. As a husband, father of two, and caregiver to his wife—who lives with multiple chronic, non‑curable illnesses—he has learned firsthand that life doesn’t always give us easy roads, but it always gives us a choice in how we walk them. Drawing from a career built on service and a life built on grit and grace, he brings an honest, uplifting message about choosing your mindset—even when life doesn’t give you the choices you want.
