Chris Depew, LPC-S, is the Director of Huntsville Counselors, where he oversees clinical operations and works directly with clients on a range of personal and mental health concerns. His approach draws on philosophical traditions within psychotherapy, including existential and humanistic perspectives, helping clients explore meaning, values, and the deeper questions that shape their lives. Depew earned his Master's degree from the University of North Alabama and is currently ABD (All But Dissertation) in the Ph.D. program at the University of the Cumberlands, where his research centers on happiness, contentment, and life satisfaction. This research examines what helps people build lives that feel authentically fulfilling rather than merely functional, and it informs his clinical work, where sessions often move beyond crisis management to a broader exploration of well-being, purpose, and psychological flourishing. In addition to directing Huntsville Counselors, Depew serves as adjunct faculty at Grand Canyon University, teaching and supervising counseling students at both the Master's and Doctoral levels. He is especially committed to mentoring students through the qualitative and phenomenological research methods that inform contemporary counselor education. Outside of his professional life, Depew enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and reading as much as possible. |
